Riverton Heritage Harvest Festival

An educational weekend of displays, workshops and family fun all themed on heritage fruit and veges; how to choose them, grow them, harvest them and preserve them. Workshops on seed saving, cider making, preserving fruit, propagating berries, what to plant in autumn etc.

Talks, displays, competitions and activities - Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4.30 pm, Aparima College Hall (optional gold coin donation)

Workshops 9.30 - 4.30 Aparima College classrooms on Saturday and Sunday. Pre-registration essential to guarantee a place! $7.50 per workshop or 4 for $25.

Environment Centre open for registrations 10-4.30 daily until 23th and registrations at Aparima College Hall from 9 am Saturday and Sunday on the morning of the festival.

Pot luck Traditional Heritage Feast Saturday night from 7pm at Flecks Hall, $2 adult, $5 family.

You could be the Champion of the Harvest and win $100 of vouchers and the Heritage Harvest Trophy made by Peter Aalders.

Riverton Environment Centre is open both days - displays, information, organic food, eco-products.
