Directions: From Tuatapere, head south on Papatotara Road where the Southern Scenic Route turns north toward Te Anau. Turn right at the sign for Blue Cliffs. Parking is available just after you cross the Rowallan Burn. You can also park at the lot for the Humpridge Track. A 45-minute walk takes you through native bush to a stairway down to the beach.

Blue Cliffs Beach is a long stretch of undeveloped coastline marking the southern border of Fiordland National Park. Beachcombers, hikers and picnickers will find beauty and solitude, a view of the Humpridge, and possible sightings of dolphins and other wildlife of Te Waewae Bay.
