Have you ever worked a team of dogs, planted a tree, shorn a sheep, walked amongst cattle and deer, fed lambs and calves? Why not give it a go. At Montevue Farmstay™ we offer guests a taste of life on a genuine 517 ha/1273 acre kiwi family farm - as hands on as you want to make it.
Guests are offered the choice of double or twin, clean, comfortable bedrooms with a separate guest bathroom, in our homestead. If required hearty farm style meals are served with NZ wines at an addditional charge.
Our guests can go to sleep with their windows open and drapes pulled back - looking at the star filled night sky and awake to the wonderful sounds of the dawn chorous.
Most of our guests spend two nights with us - making 'Montevue' a rest day.
A day going at a more leisurely pace to enable one to 'catch one's breath' is an essential part of travel. This is what we can offer.

Stays of longer duration - price on asking.
Picnic (on top of the hills or down by the stream), bird watching, photography, walking, reading or just relaxing with a glass of wine or beer and a stroll around the garden. If you are having withdrawal symptoms from being away from your patchwork or cross stitch Jacqui has just the room for you.
Internet and laundry available at a small extra charge.
