Riverton Union Church

The Riverton Union Church is a central place for worship in the Riverton Main Street.
We are using a model of Local Shared Ministry to maintain our delivery of essential spiritual services and pastoral care to the Riverton Community. Our worship services are conducted by a variety of people who bring an interesting and varied worship and teaching style to the congregation.
Our services are held every Sunday morning at 10.00 am. Children are included in the service. On Friday night the Boys' Brigade meet at 7.00 pm. The seniors (college age) in the Aparima College Hall and the juniors (primary age) at the Church Complex.

September 2009 began a new chapter in the history of the Parish. Changes were made to the way we function.
All positions in our Church are filled using the discernment process. Our Church Council is made up of the Chairperson, Secretary and Team Leaders of Worship, Pastoral Care, Mission / Outreach, Administration and Communication. We firmly believe that Local Shared Ministry is appropriate for our Parish and are willing to find new ways for the future.
We provide meaningful worship each Sunday with learning activities which allow children to grow and feel that they are an important part of our Church Family.
Pastoral care, support and home visits is the responsibility of a Team of friendly people. A listening ear is always available.
Our youth work focus is through our very strong and busy Boys' Brigade company. The skills based programs and activities provide young people with lessons for life.
Our wonderful multi roomed and functional complex cater for all types of activities. Areas are available to hire.
The Church Office Telephone number is
03 234 8690. This phone redirects to one of our Team Leaders if no one is in the office to receive the call.
