The Taramea Bay Soundshell is a Southland Icon and one of the very few outdoor concert venues of its kind left in NZ.
Many a baby boomer will tell you tales of bikini contests and carnivals on the shores of Taramea Bay but now the Soundshell plays host to several concerts a year.

The Soundshell has a Car Boot Sale on the Second Sunday of every Month.
Starting at 9am-1pm.
There will be food, coffee and tunes on the day. Clear you Clutter and make some Cash too!
Plus you're helping to maintain the Soundshell itself.
